There’s a big difference between “visual acuity” (20/20 vision is considered normal visual acuity) and “visual quality.” Many refractive procedures such as LASIK offer the promise of improved visual acuity but the quality of your vision may vary significantly based on the procedure you choose. The Visian ICL provides vision correction that goes beyond LASIK. It helps you enjoy sharper, clearer, and more vivid vision, with greater depth and dimension. It’s called High Definition Visian, and it’s available only with the Visian ICL.
Why Visian ICL?The high definition vision delivered by the Visian ICL makes this proven, technologically advanced vision correction procedure the choice for patients who need and expect high quality results. In fact, the U.S. military has embraced the Visian ICL because of the reliable visual clarity it achieves. The Visian ICL is clearly the choice for patients with an active lifestyle and those who cannot accept anything less than the highest quality vision. STAAR Surgical Company’s Visian ICL has a proven track record of providing improved quality of vision. When compared to other refractive surgical procedures, the Visian ICL creates sharper vision. The immediate improvement of vision quality and the remarkably short and painless recovery produces a unique “WOW!” factor in patients.
What are the Benefits?
Many visions correction methods, such as LASIK, promise an improved level of vision. Visian ICL offers many benefits that you may not see in other vision correction surgeries, such as:
- Eliminated risk of developing dry eye syndrome
- Sharp, clear vision with improved depth and dimension
- Great night vision
- Suitable for those with thin corneas
- A quick procedure, with a quick recovery
- Built in UV protection
- Removable, in the unlikelihood that you may want it removed
- Freedom from glasses and contacts!
Does It Hurt?
With the use of topical anesthetic during the procedure, patients claim to be very comfortable during the surgery. A light sedative will also be administered to help calm the patient, adding another level of comfort.
Am I a Candidate?
The best candidates for Visian ICL are between the ages of 21 and 45 suffering from nearsightedness, and want to experience an improvement in their vision. The ideal candidate has no history of eye diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma or iritis, and has not undergone any other eye surgery.
