Education | Training
Dr. Hu earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Special Distinction in Ophthalmology for his research. His post-graduate training consisted of a medical internship at Brown University and residency at the Henkind Eye Institute at Montefiore Medical Center. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Hu pursued a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Hu joined the eyecare team at Laser and Corneal Surgery Associates because of their commitment to excellent patient care. He also attends the cornea service at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai.

Dr. Hu has authored peer-reviewed scientific publications, presented research at national and international academic conferences and has received funding from the National Institute of Health. He has won awards for both his research in ophthalmology, and teaching medical students. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
