Is a board certified Ophthalmologist and nationally recognized leader in corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery. Dr. Abramson is the medical director of TLC; The Laser Center located in White Plains. Dr. Abramson had performed thousands of LASIK procedures since 1995. She has been featured in major publications such as New York Times, Rx Remedy, and Woman's World.

Dana Morschauser, 0. D. - extension 103

Dr. Morschauser oversees the clinical side of our practice. She performs the LASIK evaluations, pre- and post-operative surgical care, as well as primary care eye examinations. Dr. Morschauser has extensive cornea and refractive surgery experience and was trained through residency and fellowship programs at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. She has been in practice since 1995, with an emphasis on refractive surgery and corneal disease. She led the initial trial studies which led to the FDA approval of Laser Vision Correction.

Mark Speaker. M.D., Ph.D. - extension 101

Dr. Speaker started his practice at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, in 1987, and since then has had one of the few practices in the New York area devoted entirely to corneal surgery. His work in the field of Laser Eye Surgery began in 1993 when he was involved in the clinical trials of Excimer Lasers in the United States. Dr. Speaker has been recognized for his leadership in LASIK in the New York area by New York Magazine and other publications such as Best Doctors in America. He has also been featured on CBS News for performing LASIK on anchorman Steven Clark, and for corneal surgery on a keratoconus patient. He continues to work with a large network of co-managing doctors in the Tri-State area, allowing laser patients convenient follow-up care close to home. Dr. Speaker still maintains a surgical schedule at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Robert Latkany M.D. - extension 105

Dr. Latkany is an experienced board certified fellowship trained ophthalmologist. He is the founder and director of The Center for Ocular Tear Film Disorders at Laser and Corneal Surgery Associates and also the foiunder and director of the Dry Eye Clinic at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He performs corneal and refractive surgery and is a nationally and internationally featured Dry Eye Research Specialist.

Kevin R. Mathisson, M.D.
Over the past decade, Dr. Mathisson has performed thousands of successful cataract procedures. His method uses the latest in topical anesthesia (no needles) - no stitch, no patch, micro-incision surgery. Dr.Mathisson specializes in routine and complicated cataract and lens implant surgery.

Michael Glassman M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Glassman is a plastic surgeon specially trained for the face and eyelids. The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Dr. Glassman is board-certified and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. In addition to cosmetic surgery, botox, and laser resurfacing, problems seen by Dr. Glassman include adult and childhood abnormalities of the face, eyelids, orbit and lacrimal system.

Surgical Coordinator
lwaters@lasiknyc.com Laura is responsible for doing all preliminary testing at your LASIK Consultation and for scheduling of the procedure. She also handles all phone calls regarding LASIK and serves as a liason to all our patients when they may have any questions/concerns.
